Laurel Tempas is a private flute instructor in the western Chicago suburbs. She attended Northwestern Univeristy where she recieved her Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music in Flute Performance degrees. Her flute professors include Emil Eck and Walfrid Kujala, both former players with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Laurel currently performs with the Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest, as well as the Salt Creek Sinfonietta. When the West Suburban Symphony Orchestra went on a recent tour of England, she played principal flute. She is the former principal flute with the Wheaton Municipal Band and has also performed with the Wheaton Symphony Orchestra and the Wind Harmonies Woodwind Octet. In addition, Laurel is a member of the music faculty at Lewis University and an adjudicator for the Illinois Music Educator’s Association district and state level band auditions.Laurel comprises half of the flute/harp duo “Heather Harmonies”, performing Celtic music in several local venues.

Andrea is an active freelanceclarinetist and private teacher in the Chicagoland area. She has performed with many orchestras including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant ParkOrchestra, Quad City Symphony, Chicago Opera Theater, Elgin Symphony Orchestra, and Ravinia Festival Orchestra. Andrea is the clarinetist and Artistic Administrator for the MAVerick Ensemble, a contemporary chamber music ensemblein Chicago. In addition to her freelance schedule Andrea enjoys teachingMusic Appreciation for Benedictine’s Moser College of Adult and ProfessionalStudies. Andrea is also the clarinet instructor at North Central College in Naperville.
Andrea has studied clarinet with Charlene Zimmerman, J. David Harris, Russell Dagon, and John BruceYeh. She earned her Master of Music degree in performance, fromNorthwestern University, her Bachelor of Music degree with honors, inperformance, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Trombonist Henry Salgado establishedhimself on the Chicago scene while working on his Jazz Studies degree at DepaulUniversity. He began subbing in the pit orchestras of the Goodman Theatre,Marriott Lincolnshire and the Drury Lane Oakbrook. Salgado has alsoperformed with many top entertainers including Josh Groban, Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli, Kurt Elling, Johnny Mathis, Mel Torme, Rita Moreno, Della Reeseand the Doc Severinsen Orchestra. Adam Cowger is currently an adjunct professor of music at Joliet Junior College where he directs the percussion ensemble and teaches applied percussion. Additionally, Adam teaches courses in music history and applied percussion at Moraine Valley Community College.
As a freelance artist, Adam recently formed the Screaming Norwegians percussion duo with fellow percussion educator/performer Ben Wahlund. He also performs regularly with the tribute band The Chicago Experience and numerous professional orchestras in the Chicagoland area. In addition, Adam has performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, twice at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival and can be heard on Liam Teague and Robert Chappell’s recent CD Open Window.
Adam holds a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota, both in percussion performance. His principal teacher’s include Michael Blake, Rich Holly, Robert Chappell, Greg Beyer, and Rodrigo Villanueva.
